Fan Bing Bing at “The Artist” Premiere at Cannes

Fan Bing Bing modified this ombre’ed dress from Versace to rid of the high royal purple collar. It’s definitely an important change but it is one that suits the gown to Bing Bing’s style. She would have looked too constrained in the high collar — while someone like Penelope Cruz would rock that high collar like no one’s business, different body types. It’s gorgeous with the tiers and tiers of ruffles in gradations from lavender to pale rose down the huge train. It’s amazing. Not my favorite piece of hers of the event, but definitely one that is noteworthy.
