Diane Kruger at the 2011 Met Gala After-Party

Diane Kruger rocked her second Jason Wu look of the night. She (and the designer) look gorgeous in the photo. This is my favorite take on the ostrich feather trend. These dresses are gorgeous and pervasive, yet I don’t see them as the most flattering. I love the way that the lace meets the feather and merges completely. This dress is perfect for Kruger too.

Emma Stone at the 2011 Met Gala After-Party

Emma Stone doubled up on the Lanvin for the Met Gala. As one of the few stars who changed between the Gala and the after-party, Stone’s outfit change stuck out. I love the dress. It’s adorable and the neon colors are something that she often rocks and always pulls off. What I am not a fan of, is the hair. From the full length dark themed floral dress to the ultra mini hot pink stunner, Stone had two gorgeous looks for the most important fashion event of the year.

The Rest of the Met Gala…

Karlie Kloss stuns in a gorgeous gold Dior look. Gorgeous.

Isabel Lucas’ Louis Vuitton look was one of my favorites though. She dove completely into the look with her headdress and the amazing pink and red contrast. It was like a valentine the way the colors worked together.

I like Michelle Williams’ Miu Miu dress but I do find it kind of boring. She’s got such unusual taste yet she played it very safe here which is surprising and a bit disappointing.

While the thought behind Beyonce’s dress is great, but in actuality it looks a bit stiff. It also definitely looks as if it were influenced by McQueen.

I don’t like Lea Michele’s Escada look. It’s got a weird way that it sits on her. The red is gorgeous with her skin color and it should be beautiful but it just does not fit perfectly.

Taylor Swift opted for a dress out of her normal princess zone. I don’t really like it. I wish that she had stuck with the normal, fairy tale elegance dresses. The unusual quality of this dress rubs me the wrong way on her… it just doesn’t look genuine.

Rumer Willis in Mischka again, not surprising but this dress looks way better than they usually do. This is an amazing color on her. With her pale skin and darker hair, the dark colors really bring everything out rather than the brights she generally opts for which wash her out. I love the trap and the feathers and the sequins — it’s perfect. I’m impressed and hope she continues in this vein.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looks AMAZING. No one else seems to love this as much as I do. I think that the rose silk is so well cut. This is perfect.

Leighton Meester took a real risk and I am not the biggest fan of this dress I do think she looks stunning and am impressed with her.

Wearing prints to an event like this is a real risk. I think Emma Stone pulled it off. This pattern was all over the fall collection but nothing even vaguely in this cut. I think that the cut itself is very simple and the dress is given character pretty much by the print alone.

Monaghan ROCKS the neon pink. Of the neon pink looks tonight, I prefer this. It’s so simple, literally covers every inch of her body in such a graceful way. I love long sleeves, they are amazing.

Rosario Dawson was made to wear this. That’s a fact. This is very similar to many pieces from the fall collection.

Lily Donaldson’s Erdem’s look is just the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. I just adore it, the lace in blue is just unusual and the way that it just drapes and is so revealing yet not slutty at all — it actually looks tasteful. How in the world doe she do that?

Milla Jovovich in Marni. Stunning.

Anna Dello Russo. My style idol. I’m going to do more on this and I’ll link back to it. I do ADR focuses on my other blog.

I’m doing this really quickly because I am so tired. Shalom Harlow in Marchesa — interesting, and gorgeous. This is similar to Taylor Swift’s, yet it is more successful. Had she worn this I would have had no complaints.

This is the best I have ever seen Kristen Stewart look. It’s really simple but it totally works.

Bar Refaeli in Reem Acra is gorgeous. The sequins, the metallics, the style… woo!

Raquel Zimmermann at the 2011 Met Gala

THIS IS MY FAVORITE. I AM ENDING (PAUSING FOR DINNER) ON THIS AMAZING NOTE — BEST OF THE NIGHT. STUNNING. Zimmermann looks just amazing. The zip-up with the feathers, it’s radiant. The way it looks from the side is miraculous and not at all evident from the front shot from style.com from the show.

Penelope Cruz looks stunning in anything. This is a fabulous and really fun look from Oscar de la Renta’s fall collection. I bet she is having so much fun wearing this..it’s really got that look!

It’s funny because I thought that this Versace collection was completely stunning. This piece is like couture sportswear with the ribbing and bodice and stuff…I feel like it’s a tennis outfit that turns into a bustle. Just weird. I don’t really like it. There’s no denying it’s got the stuff for the Met Gala and it’s really interesting I just don’t particularly like it. It’s missing a certain grace I expect from couture.
