Katherine Jenkins at the Gorby 80 Gala

I’m choosing my words wisely with this considering all the Scott Schuman hoopla. Jenkins has what I consider to be a more normal shaped body than the model — she is full-figured and gorgeous. Because of her boobs and figure the intricacies of the dress stand out all the more. I just love this dress and the entire look oozes simplicity and utter glam. She kept the entire look simple with the same tone YSL pumps. The neutral does her so well.

This dress has gotten a bit of flack for being a little too with the theme and too easy to blend to the scenery behind. I think that the net-a-porter founder spot on with this look and I would expect absolutely nothing less bold and striking from her. The gradations of green in the dress are what get me. So beautiful. If you have $3,500 it can be yours!

Jena Malone at the London Premiere of “Sucker Punch”

I really like this — a million times better than what she wore from the LA Premiere. The color of this and the small cut outs throughout the dress are very tasteful.

Such a bold choice for the young actress and I really admire it. She completely rocks this look although she looks insecure in it the way she is shrugging her shoulders and hiding behind the dress. You can tell she didn’t want to go too far which is why she made this shoe faux-pas, but I can look past it. The dress does not demand simple shoes just something equally stunning. Black was wrong maybe a blue or a nude? Who knows. Anyways, I really admire this and it gives me hope for this young star! She’s been fairly unimpressive on the red carpet so far so I’m very happy about this. This dress reminds me of Julia Roberts’ Valentino from the Oscars — the infamous one, a few years back. The simplicity of the cut but the utter elegance and complexity that lies beneath the surface is just amazing and shoes real skill with design.

Abbie Cornish at the London Premiere of “Sucker Punch”

The London première was filled with the most beautiful dresses, completely different from the première last week. She looks so graceful and elegant. The color is perfect on her and the off-the-shoulder bits are fabulous. I love the simple belt she added to this. Much improved!

Olivia Palermo at Runway to Green

I don’t like this at all. Usually, I love Palermo’s style but this just rubs me the wrong way. The way it is modified and loses the sheer bottom piece completely detracts from the dress. The print on skirt is too bold for the top, they don’t mesh well together at all. Her skirt is from Topshop and I think that it would have been better if she just got the dress shortened. I love the pointed shoes and I think they’re great. Her hair looks fabulous as well — skirt is the only thing that needs to change.

Breathtaking. Between Wintour in Balenciaga and this I actually don’t know which is the best. I don’t know where to begin! Her hair is magnificent– so simple, airy and elegant. This Wu dress is my absolute favorite from the collection and she completely does it justice. The simplicity of the dress is where the real beauty is. The simple black color that is complete throughout and emphasized by the beauty and intensity of the structure. The white ruffle underneath accentuates the voluptuous quality of the skirt. She accompanied this fall dress with pumps and a clutch also by Wu. It is really a bold move wearing the nude satin pumps. As a person who is rarely a fan of satin, I’m impressed with how she pulls it off. This is my favorite — best of the week? Best of the month.
