Zooey Deschanel at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party

More Valentino! It’s a dream come true. This is really pretty and looks great on her — although her shoes, which almost blend into the red carpet, are horrific. Red satin? No honey. This dress is beautiful and I know that she has unusual style but you don’t do that to this dress.

Zoe Saldana at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party

God…after last year I was so excited for Saldana. I mean the beautiful Givenchy is unbeatable but I hoped for something more. This Gurung look is kind of ratty and looks old. I know that that is the style but it’s just weird. The victorian style top with the tie isn’t my style. I hate the pink satin peep toes more than anything else though and they definitely taint my opinion.

Well she is definitely shedding her good girl look as is evident with this look. Gone are the beautiful and minimally sheer J. Mendel looks that are filled with youth and innocence. This is mature although still youthful and tasteful. Gorgeous.

Sofia Vergara at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party

The goddess herself. This reminds me of Christina Aguilera’s Golden Globes look — hold the hostile responses — except more tastefully done. Aguilera had to try to work the other Murad look, really put her effort into making it part of her. Vergara does not, this is part of her and there isn’t an aspect that is out of place on her amazing body.

Now this is glamour. The way that she wears it makes it look much different than on the runway. On the runway ti looks very Jennifer Lopez or Halle Berry, but here it is just so perfect for her. The color alone is amazing with the multiple subtleties in the wrapping on the bust. There is nothing wrong with this look — flawless.

Rosario Dawson at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party

Holy shit I love this. I loved it on the runway and I loved it on Dawson. The folds and the take on the wrap dress that is so typically DVF and so fabulous just works on Dawson. My mom and I rarely agree on favorite pieces but we were in complete agreement here. This is wonderful. I am so glad she went for this one as opposed to the version in black which would not have done her justice in the same way.

Rashida Jones at Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party

I like this, I don’t love it. I love Valentino and I love this dress. I don’t like the modified version. It’s too frou-frou and pretty girl. With the v-neck ruffles it’s elegant and complex. The tan sheer one Jones rocks with ruffled shoulders is simple and girly, not in the kind of way that I like. But no one can go wrong in Valentino.
