Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Mandy Moore and Kim Kardashian…

I didn’t know Mandy Moore had it in her but this Monique Lhuillier gown is amazing. It’s not from the runway and I assume it was specially made. The plum color is perfect both for Moore’s skin tone and for the viewers eyes — it is an amazing color. The bust with the rouched style is just so beautiful. Well done Mandy.

Natalie Portman looked radiant — both the pregnancy and the couture Gianfranco Ferré gown — she was on a roll last night when she walked away with the Best Actress award. The gown is simple, flatters her baby bump and is not boring. I think that the biggest problem with pregnant couture is that women seem to end up boring. Portman did not, and I would never expect her to.

Michelle Williams in a vintage-inspired Balenciaga. My favorite part of this dress is the hem — higher in the front, lower in the back and shows off her pumps better than any other gown could.

Kim’s usually on point with her style, but the center seam on this gorgeous Vera Wang detracts from the elegance. The orange is a wonderful color and the bottom reminds me of one of those gorgeous weird fish you see in weird pictures and on Planet Earth DVD’s. It’s just that seam that gets me…

This was a beautiful show and hit all the different aspects it needed too…in fact it was already worn on the red carpet last night by the pregnant and radiant Natalie Portman — it can be seen on stylegurus here. • […] Although, personally I liked the eggplant gown she donned at the Critics Choice Awards (see here) but this one is great as well — not a winner but there is nothing wrong with […]
